Nabe Urawa is bringing back a Korean twist this year with its "Korean Fair" themed feast, perfectly blending Korean elements into the Japanese shabu-shabu experience!
This Korean-themed menu introduces a special hot pot base: "Korean Oxtail Soup (Seolleongtang)." The broth is slowly simmered with beef bones until it turns a creamy white, infused with tender, flavorful oxtail that has a rich meaty taste. The cold dish section features three Korean-style appetizers, including kimchi, sweet and sour radish, and sweet lotus root, all bursting with flavor.
The hot food area offers a variety of popular K-Food delights, including Hongdae hottest dish, the Korean pork knuckle. These knuckles are braised to perfection, resulting in a tender texture which is a favorite among Seoul's younger crowd. Other offerings include tender braised beef rib finger with radish, spicy chicken drumsticks, and crispy deep-fried honey chicken wings, allowing diners to fully experience Korean flavors. The self-service station also offers Korean fried rice, kimchi dumplings, rice cakes, and spicy noodles, recreating the street food vibe of Myeongdong!
Special recommendations include Korean-style soup dumplings and soy sauce cooked shrimp, available exclusively in the Level 4 or higher all-you-can-eat sets. The dumplings are filled with pork and steamed in thin wrappers, bursting with juicy flavor with every bite. The shrimp absorbs rich soy sauce, offering a sweet and tender texture. For dessert, there are delightful surprises like new Korean rice wine daifuku with a subtle rice wine aroma, and a nourishing choice of double-boiled snow pear with snow ear and wolfberry, perfect for settling your stomach after a hearty meal.
